Taking Photograffs

  1. Never leave home without your digital camera. It's more important than your credit card – you'll never get the second chance to shoot a great picture when you come across an opportunity unexpectedly !
  2. Make sure you have a memory card and extra battery for your camera.
  3. Set up your camera for the best shot – macro, sports, portrait, landscape, etc.
  4. Set up your camera to take pictures at, say, 5 megapixels. The size depends upon your purpose. At 5 megapixels, you can get reasonably good A4 size prints. For web posting, 3 megapixels would be sufficient.
  5. Shoot anything that catches your fancy. You'll learn overtime and improve on your knack in capturing attention-grabbing scenes.
  6. View and select the best shots for uploading to your albums in Photograffs.com

Processing Photograffs

  1. You want your photograffs to look great, not just good, in your album. So you want to process your photograffs before uploading to your album.
  2. Use your favourite image processing software such as Photoshop, Fireworks, Picasa, or any other that you are familiar with, to edit your photograffs.
  3. Enhance the brightness, colour, contrast, etc., until you are satisfied with the picture.
  4. Our maximum file size upload is 5 MB per photo. You can upload actual size photos without the need for resizing.
  5. If you want exif information on your photograff to be uploaded as well, you need to use the "save as.." in jpg format. If you use the "save for web" method, the exif information will not show up on the website. However, "save as.." in jpg method will increase the file size by almost ten times compared to the "save for web" method. The size limit for uploaded photos in Photograffs is set at 5 MB.
  6. You are now ready to upload your photograffs.
  7. Sign up at this stage if you have not already done so.
